Green smoke and many other brands of electronic cigarette are really increasing in popularity over the last years, so much so that electronic smoking is becoming like a cult in many countries. But is this what was really intended by the introduction of electronic cigarettes, or is this a fashion that really has got out of hand.
We live in a society today where it is more and more frowned upon to smoke, and in a great deal of countries it is indeed totally prohibited to smoke in all public places. This has led to the increase in purchase of nicotine gums and patches and in recent years the sale of electronic cigarettes. However, there has to be a very fine line drawn as to whether smoking an electronic cigarette is actually smoking or not?
Smoking a green smoke is of course odorless, so if it is prohibited in your work place to smoke, you can easily smoke an electronic cigarette without anyone noticing. This really is one reason that electronic cigarettes are so popular, they defy the new smoking bans as you can smoke and go unnoticed doing so.
But what has been created with the introduction of electronic cigarettes is a cult fashion that makes green smoking out to be a good thing to do. However, we must remember that green smoke still contains nicotine and therefore is still highly addictive. The fact that smoking green smoke is odorless is making it even more popular with the younger generation who wish to smoke but not be noticed.
There is rightfully a lot of bad press surrounding green smoke and electronic cigarettes in general as green smoke is not really encouraging anyone to quit smoking, in fact, quite the reverse. The only compensation that can be seen here is that with the increase in number of green smokers, at least the nicotine that they are inhaling is not mixed with harmful chemicals and tar.
Green smoke and electronic smoking in general is also increasing in popularity as it is indeed a cheaper method of obtaining your nicotine fix. The price of tobacco is constantly being raised in order to discourage people to quit smoking, but with the introduction of e cigarettes, smoking has once again become available to all people.
It really can be stated that green smoke is popular for the wrong reasons; whereas it should be directed as an aid to quit smoking, sales are increasing amongst the young and those people who are looking for an alternative to expensive tobacco. The key issue here is that green smoking is an alternative to smoking, but it is not a way to stop smoking. If advertising was banned on e cigarettes just as it was on traditional tobacco many years ago, the number of younger green smokers would probably begin to decrease again, but as long as green smoke is seen to be healthy and fashionable, it will remain a top priority for young people who wish to follow fashion and cults.
